These trousers are made from deadstock wool sourced from a tailor in Buffalo, NY, who closed his doors in the 1970s. He imported all of his fabrics from the UK and Italy. They had been sitting in his storage unit until we purchased them sixty years later.
This piece of wool dates to the late 1960s or early 1970s and has thin red stripes through the grey houndstooth. Hand-mending throughout.
